Hi, I'm Kirsty,

and in March 2020 like it did for many, gave me the push I needed to make healthier changes when it came to my own mental health.
Work-life went from working more than double my contracted hours in the city, long, late night commutes and the daily interaction you'd expect from a large open plan office, to working from a dining table in my flat.
It became apparent very quickly realised that I hadn’t been looking after myself as I should have been and things needed to change, for the better.
I resigned from a 'dream' job, and began my career of freelancing. My employer was incredibly supportive and this kick started my journey of putting my health and wellbeing as my number one priority.
I started working sensible hours, stopped work at weekends, took up beach volleyball, spending time outdoors with my pup and learning what made me 'truly' happy.
Overall productivity and performance at work naturally improved and realising the impact that having a ‘healthy' work-life balance could actually have.
Despite an unstable and unpredictable market for construction, I exceeded all work targets in 2021 and had a record performance.
I later discovered 'neurodiversity,' and the impact this could have on an individuals at work if not properly diagnosed. Shortly after this I was diagnosed with ADHD.
Turns out this had been having a big impact on my mental health and explained why I’d found working in a open plan offices overly distracting and often exhausting - despite being an extrovert and often feeling drawn to busier, louder more social spaces.
Having designed and delivered workspaces for half my career, I began researching and speaking with businesses who were facing similar challenges for their employees.
